The Met Department says that island-wide showers and strong Winds are expected to gradually decrease from tomorrow.
 
Periodic showers or thunderstorms will occur in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, with fairly heavy rainfall, around 50mm can be expected in certain regions.
 
Intermittent showers have been predicted for the Western province as well as Galle and Matara districts.
 
Meanwhile, the 11 fishermen who were lost at sea off the coast of Hikkaduwa have been rescued by the Navy.
 
The fishermen had ventured out to sea from Ambalangoda at 10.30 am yesterday.
 
Later, in the evening, they had informed their relatives that their boat had met with an accident.
 
When their communications also failed by 9 pm last night, the Navy and Ambalangoda police launched a search operation.
