Ban on wild boar slaughter to be lifted

Ban+on+wild+boar+slaughter+to+be+lifted
The Government has decided to lift the existing ban on the slaughter, transport, and sale of wild boars.
 
Agriculture Minister, Mahinda Amaraweera said that the Cabinet paper in this regard will be presented in the near future.
 
A survey conducted by the Agricultural ministry found that a significant percentage of crops are destroyed by wild boars.
 
The minister stated that the ban on wild boar will be lifted in order to minimize such destruction caused to crops.
