Our reporter said that the former DIG came to the CID at about 9 .00 a.m. and left the department at about 6. 30 p.m.
However, the former DIG has been summoned to the CID again.
By now CID has recorded statements from the former DIG for close to 28 hours.
While the former DIG visited the CID last Friday, a statement was obtained from him querying him for more than nine hours.
The CID is thus querying him in connection with investigations relevant to the alleged conspiracy to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
