Minister Bandula Gunawardena says that measures are underway to present a vote on account.

At a media briefing in Colombo yesterday, the minister noted that the government does not have an no issue with settling debt.

Meanwhile, former minister of finance Mangala Samaraweera says that if a budget or vote on account is not presented to parliament , and is not approved by the end of this year, the governing system as a whole may completely collapse.

He stated this attending a media briefing at temple trees yesterday.
