The gem businessman and one other suspect who was arrested in connection to the case involving a stock of weapons and live ammunition being discovered in a two storied house in Beruwela- Paththekade are both to be produced before Matugama magistrate’s court today.

Police noted that permission is being sought from the courts to continue with the interrogation.

13 weapons and 906 live bullets was discovered in the businessman’s possession at the time of arrest.

Preliminary investigations revealed that he did not possess a license authorizing possession.
