Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said today he would be committed to bring back normalcy in the country and would restore development.

Delivering a special statement after he was sworn in as the Prime Minister once again, Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed his gratitude to all citizens who demanded democracy in unison.

The leader of the United National Party was reinstated as Prime Minister during a swearing in ceremony before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.

Meanwhile, Saman Ekanayake, a senior Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has been appointed as the Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Ekanayake had also served as Secretary to the Prime Minister from 2015.
