Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have disqualified to directly enter the T20 World Cup series to be held in Australia in 2020.

Under the ICC selection criteria, the host country and the other nine top ranked teams on the ICC T20 team index are ensured direct qualification.

The top 8 make it straight to the Super 12s stage while the rest of the teams will play in the group stage along with six other teams who will make it through from the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers in 2019.

Accordingly, 4 teams from the group stage will advance to the Super 12s.
