Suspects arrested with explosives from Wanathawilluwa to be detained for 90 days for questioning

Suspects+arrested+with+explosives+from+Wanathawilluwa+to+be+detained+for+90+days+for+questioning
4 persons arrested along with a stock of explosives and detonators from the Wanathawilluwa area are to be detained for 90 days for questioning.

This was after the CID received permission from the Defense Ministry as per powers vested with the Ministry under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The suspects were arrested as part of the investigations carried out in to damages caused to Buddha statues in the Mawanella area.

At the time of arrest, nearly 100 Kilograms of explosives and 100 detonators were found from their premises.
