Investigations have been launched  to probe the bank accounts belonging  to underworld leader Maakandurey Madhush, who is currently being detained in Dubai.

the Terrorist Investigation Division have probed more than 23 Dubai and Sri Lankan bank accounts belonging to him.

in addition, an investigation has also commenced regarding other assets owned by the suspect.

Investigations have revealed that more than Rs.5 billion rupees was acquired from heroin, cocaine, extortions and financial contract killings.
