Ranjan reports to Cocaine probing committee; Report to be handed over to the Prime Minister either today or on Monday

the committee chairman , minister Lakshman Kiriella has stated that the committee probing the recent statement made by State Minister, Ranjan Ramanayake, will submit a report to the Prime Minister either today or by next  Monday.

The state minister recently claimed that cocaine was being used by certain cabinet ministers and MPs.

Our correspondent stated that themeeting was scheduled to begin at 9:30 this morning, however Ramanayake arrived 20 minutes late.

State Minister Iran Wickramarathna, MP Arshu Maarasinghe and a representative of  President Counsel Nissanka Nanayakkara are part of this  committee.

After submitting his statement, State Minister Ramanayake said that he had provided several names of MPs that he believed use cocaine.

He also mentioned that he filed a complaint to the CID.

the report is scheduled to be submited to the party working committee on Wednesday.
