The wife of suicide bomber Inshaf Ahamed who carried out the suicide bomb attack at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel on Easter Sunday, Ashkaan Alamdeen has given an interview to the Daily Mail newspaper of UK.

She has said in the interview that her husband had mentioned that two days before the bomb blasts he was leaving on a business trip to Zambia.

She had mentioned to the Daily Mail that she had dropped off her husband last Friday at the Katunayake Airport.

The Daily Mail reported that she had declared that on the Easter Sunday morning of the bomb blasts at about 7.30 am he had called her and inquired into her wellbeing.

It is said that this suicide bomber lived in Kandy and was the owner of a Copper Factory.

This woman who has declared that she cannot think even why her husband got involved in carrying out such a horrific attack has said further that if she had got to know about such an attack she would have definitely informed the Police.

Ashkaan Alamdeen has also said in this interview, that it was Ilham, her husband’s brother who carried out the suicide bomber’s attack on the Shangri-La Hotel.
