President declares open third international airport in this country

President+declares+open+third+international+airport+in+this+country

The third international airport in Sri Lanka was declared open this morning by President Maithripala Sirisena.

This international airport which is being rebuilt at a cost of Rs. 2250 million of which the Sri Lankan government will provide Rs. 1950 million and the Indian government assistance of Rs.300 million.

This international airport which is being constructed in three stages comprises of a main runway of 950 meters.
