Supervisors+of+the+Ceylon+Electricity+Board+in+a+token+strike

The mechanical, civil and electrical supervisors of the Ceylon Electricity Board have launched a token strike.

This was in protest of the incident of a certain group of people obstructing the duties of the several of the stuff including the Electrical Supervisor in charge of the Vavuniya Consumer Services Center on the 4 of this month and carrying out an assault.

The President of the Technical Engineers and Supervisors Association A. G. U. Nishantha told the Hiru News Division that this strike has been launched since no one has been arrested as yet in connection with this incident.
