Charges+at+Defence+Ministry+regarding+Bodu+Bala+Sena+refuted

The United National Party charges that Defence Secretary Ghotabhaya Rajapaksa is funding the Bodhu Bala Sena Organisation.

 

UNP MP Mangala Samaraweera addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today made the following observations in this regard.

However when journalists queried Minister Keheliya Rambukwella in this regard during today's cabinet decision media briefing, the Minister refuted chargers that the Ministry of Defence was funding the Bodhu Bala Sena Organisation.

Meanwhile UNP Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera expressing further views in this regard asserted that the Bodhu Bala Sena Organisation was represented by a group of individuals clad in robes rather than monks.

In a bid to verify these chargers directed at the Bodhu Bala Sena Organisation, our news team obtained the views of Venerable Galagoda-aththe Gnanasara Thero who is the General Secretary of the organisation.

Moreover Secretary of the Jathika Hela Urumaya Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka submitted replies to the allegations raised by the United National Party during a media briefing held this afternoon.
