There is a public debate on the Development (Special Provisions) draft Bill. It was stated that a Super Minister will be appointed under the bill.
Provincial Councils are taking up the proposal with regard to this. It was defeated by the North Central Province, while Southern and Sabaragamuwa Provincial councils also defeated resolutions with regard to the Development Special Provisions Draft Bill with majority votes today.
However, it will be presented to the Parliament in February.
