Humanity Restored: Villagers Organize A Religious Observance To Fallen Giant

Residents around Karabewa in Galgamuwa has bid adieu to a fallen elephant with a religious observance.

The elephant found shot in Karabewa area on 25th last month.

Wildlife officials has attempted to treat it but to no avail.

Our Correspondent said residents in the area has provided it with food and water for several days. However, the elephant died this morning.

Later the villagers has organized a religious observance to perform the final rites for the animal.
