A train journey to Bandarawela is always filled with a lifetime experience for most of the tourists who would visit Sri Lanka.

The journey would be more interesting if they would be able to travel by a coal-powered especially designed train.

One such experience was enjoyed by a group of tourists from Germany, Australia, England and Japan on Monday (Jan. 29).

Our correspondent Ranjith Rajapakshe captured those pictures while the train was on its way to Hatton.
