Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh Match, SL bat
Citing favourable conditions, Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews decided to bat after winning the toss against Bangladesh at the MCG.
Sri Lanka made one change to their XI, bringing in Dinesh Chandimal in place of injured allrounder Jeevan Mendis, who is out of the World Cup because of a hamstring injury.
Bangladesh stuck to the team that played against Afghanistan: they picked eight batsmen and three seamers.
This was the first time Bangladesh were playing at a major Test venue in Australia.
