England seized the advantage in the second Test against West Indies after a rain-affected second day that saw them dismiss the hosts for 299, then reach 74 for no loss by stumps in Grenada.

Stuart Broad 4 for 61 was instrumental as the hosts slipped from 188-5 overnight, despite a Marlon Samuels century.

Last pair Devendra Bishoo and Shannon Gabriel put on 52 to frustrate England.

But under-pressure openers Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott then safely negotiated the evening session.
