Pakistan wins 1st ODI against SL at Dambulla
Pakistan won the first One Day International against Sri Lanka at Dambulla today by 6 wickets with 28 balls remaining.
Pakistan, who won the toss, chose to field. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 255 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
Dinesh Chandimal was the highest run getter for the Lankans, with 65 runs in just 68 deliveries, smashing 5 fours, and 1 six.
Pakistan’s Mohommad Haffees was the highest wicket taker, with 4 wickets, and he was also the highest run scorer for Pakistan with 103 runs in only 95 deliveries.
Sri Lanka’s Suranga Lakma, Thisara Perera, Angelow Mathews, and Thilakarathna Dilshan grabbed 1 wicket each.
Mohommad Haffees was adjudged the player of the match, for his brilliant all round performance.
