Sri Lanka clinched third place in the Asian Rugby 7s championship which was held at the Race Course Grounds in Colombo.

The final score of the game was 26 – 19. Sri Lanka thereafter beat Malaysia 42-12 to clinch the 3rd spot.

Japan emerged Asian Champions beating Hong Kong 29-22 and secured their number one spot in the Asian rankings.
