Sri Lanka Vs Windies 2nd Test begins today

After the first Test at Galle, for the second Test Sri Lanka and West Indies will move to the P Sara Oval. This will be the first Test match featuring West Indies at the ground. Sri Lanka have played here 18 times, with eight wins and six defeats and the remainder of their four Tests ending in draws. Though a favourable record, it doesn't quite match up to the dominance Sri Lankans statistically have at Galle.

West Indies will look to capitalize on Sri Lanka's recently witnessed vulnerability at the ground which is represented in the fact that in the previous five Tests played here, Sri Lanka have lost four and come out victorious just once. The most recent match at the ground was the Test match against India in August 2015, where Sri Lanka lost by 278 runs.

The ground retains the usual Sri Lankan flavour of being spin-friendly and West Indies will have to be cautious in their dealings with Rangana Herath and Tharindu Kaushal. Sri Lanka have shown increasing circumspectness against spin themselves and Devendra Bishoo could play a big threat to them.

And Sri Lanka won the 1st Test match played between Windies with an innings and by 6 runs.
