West Indies off spinner Sunil Narine was suspended from international cricket after his action was found ‘illegal’ by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday.
The ICC in its press release said: “Narine’s international suspension will also be recognised and enforced by all National Cricket Federations within domestic cricket events played in their own jurisdiction.”
However, the release stated that Narine, despite the ban, can continue to bowl in West Indies’ domestic competitions provided that he gets the consent from the board.
Narine underwent a test at ICC-accredited centre in Loughborough University after he was reported during an ODI against West Indies.
Narine is said to be ‘exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.’
