Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by 33 runs in Under-19 Cricket World Cup match in Bangladesh yesterday.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring 184.

Sri Lankan Captain and skipper Charith Asalanka stroke stunning eight fours and a six in his 71 while Sammu Ashan was a failure making 3 runs off 23.

Rival Afghanistan ruled out the chase at first until Charith Asalanka plucked two quick wickets which Afghans couldn’t recover.

Afghanistan could only score 151 inside 45 Overs.

Off-Spinner Kamindu Mendis took three wickets.
