Sri Lanka emerges as the victors at the first Twenty20 international against India held in Pune yesterday.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to ball first. Fast bowlers Kasun Rajitha and Dasun Shanaka managed to take three wickets and defeat the Indian team at 101 runs in a five-wicket victory.
Though the team was aiming 102 runs, SL scored 105 runs in 18 overs and five wickets.
Dinesh Chandimal scored 35 runs and Chamara Kapugedara scored 25 runs helping the SL team to triumph.
Kasun Rajitha was named the name of the match.
The second match of the series will take place in Ranchi, India on Friday.
