Josh Hazlewood was fined 15 per cent of his match fee after his offensive outburst during the second test match between New Zealand and Australia yesterday.
With 131 runs to be obtained in nine wickets for Australia to emerge as victors, the gentleman’s game took a nasty turn.
Hazlewood was heard swearing at umpire Ranmore Martinesz. This incident cost him $2317, which was 15 per cent of his match fee.
However, Captain Steve Smith who was also vocal about his dissatisfaction avoided penalty.
