Shahid Afridi has decided not to retire from T20 internationals following Pakistan's exit from the World T20, but he has stepped down from captaincy in the format.

After the 2015 World Cup, Afridi, 36, had announced his intention to retire from international cricket following the World T20 in India.

Earlier this year, however, he stated he was facing "huge pressure" from family and friends to not do so.

Afridi was heavily criticized as a leader following Pakistan's poor performances in the recent Asia Cup and the World T20.
