Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli has managed to become the first captain to score over 500 runs in three different seasons of the Indian Premier League.
Kohli can also boast that he broke cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Tendulkar secured 618 runs in IPL’s 2010 edition and 553 runs in 2011 edition.
Chasing 67 runs to complete 500 runs in IPL 2016 before RCB's match against Rising Pune Supergiants on Saturday, Kohli scored his second century of the season as he notched up an unbeaten 108 off 58 balls to help his team chase down 192-run target.
With this ton, Kohli also became the first captain to score two hundreds in a season.
