Despite a grey and drizzly morning in London, the fourth ODI at The Kia Oval was nevertheless set to get underway promptly after Eoin Morgan won the toss for England and chose to bowl first.

Despite enjoying the better of the past two matches, England go into the match with a slender 1-0 series lead, following a get-out-of-jail tie in the opening rubber at Trent Bridge and a washout in Bristol on Sunday.

Sri Lanka, by contrast, are unchanged, with both Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal reporting improved fitness following their hamstring issues earlier in the series.

Mathews, however, couldn't hide his disappointment at losing another important toss - he claimed to have consulted with the mascot before calling in a failed bid to improve his luck.

Sri Lanka scored 127 for the loss of 1wicket, where Kusal Mendis scored 75 runs out of 59 balls.
