Sri Lanka bundled out World Number 01 Team Australia within 2 and half days in Galle, the 2nd shortest Test match in Asia, as they won the 2nd Test by 229 runs.

Dilruwan Perera was the star with the ball in the 2nd innings as he recorded career best figures of 6 for 70 and also getting 10 wickets in the match along with his valuable 64 runs in Sri Lanka’s second innings earning him the Man of the Match award.

Australia having been set a mammoth target of 413 for victory started the day on 25 for 3, while Warner and Smith showed some intent to go after the bowling.

However, they stumbled upon Spin and were all out for 183 and Sri Lanka secured the Warne – Murali Trophy with 1 game to spare.
