Dhananjaya De Silva’s heroic innings came to a close this morning as he was out for 129 after having resumed the day on 116.
His wicket ended a record 211 run partnership for the 6th wicket with Dinesh Chandimal.
Sri Lanka resumed Day Two on 214 for 5 after the pair led a Sri Lankan fight-back after the Team was struggling on 26 for 5.
Chandimal then went on to reach his 7th Test Century a well composed patient innings which took 281 deliveries.
Sri Lanka were on 317 for 7, at the end of 132 Overs with Dinesh Chandimal scoring 112 runs and Rangana Herath scoring 25 runs.
