Sri Lanka set off at a canter, looked good for 300, but then were incrementally slowed by a resurgent Bangladesh, before a late rally saw them make a competitive 280 for 9.

Kusal Mendis & Thisara Perera ended up with scores of 54 & 52 respectively.

In reply however, Bangladesh got off to a very bad start and found themselves at 3 for 11.

Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hassan put on a valiant effort to rebuild the innings but Soumya was stumped on 38 and Shakib Al Hassan fell for 54 a short while after.

Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and Bangladesh were bowled out for just 210 runs in 44.3overs losing by 70runs in the end and levelling the series 1-1.

The man of the match was awarded to Thisara Perera and the Man of the Series was awarded to Kusal Mendis for scoring 160 runs and a sublime century in the second ODI.
