Eight cricketers including the Sri Lankan Lion Lasith Malinga who have been ranked World number one have attested a two-year agreement for the South African Twenty-Twenty League.

South African Cricket Council announced that Chris Gayle, Brenden McCullum, Kevin Peterson, Dwayne Bravo. Ion Morgen, Kieron Pollard, Jason Roy and Lasith Malinga will play in the 2017-2018 League.

Chief Executive of South African Cricket Council, Haroon Lorgat stated that these players could be introduced as the super stars in the field of cricket.

South African Twenty-twenty League is scheduled to be held in November and December this year.
