Sri Lankan off-spinner Dilruwan Perera says that he was disappointed on missing a Test hundred yesterday.

The off-spinner once had an opportunity to make a Test century on debut, 3 years ago against Pakistan in UAE, but when he was on 95, he was caught by Junaid Khan at long-leg.

Perera had another opportunity to post a maiden hundred yesterday, in the first Test against India in Galle, but ran out of partners and was left stranded.

After the third day's play, Perera said that it was sad to miss any century but this in particular, because it was a Test century.

He added that he was bitterly disappointed, but that's how the game goes.
