Sri Lanka Cricket to assess Lahore security, before T20 match

The Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket, Ashley de Silva says a security team will be sent to Lahore, 2 weeks before the scheduled T20 in Lahore, to assess the security situation there.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan are slated to play the 3rd T20 of their 3-match series in Lahore on 29th of October.

The SLC CEO said a final decision will be taken after the conclusion of the 2nd Test against Pakistan in Dubai.

"The security of the players is our utmost priority", he said.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Test skipper, Dinesh Chandimal also said that players will take a collective decision on the match to be played in Lahore, after the security assessment is done.
