Sri Lanka's first ever day-night Test will be played with Pakistan in Dubai this evening.

The reports said that most probably Sri Lanka will field one debutant for this match, due to Lahiru Thirimanne's injury.

Sadeera Samarawickrama and Roshen Silva are the new faces in the squad and one of them will make Test debut in this historical match.

The player will be Sri Lanka's 142nd Test player.

The critics are in supportive of 22-year-old, Sadeera Samarawickrama to make the Test debut.

The former Josephian has been a revelation in the first-class matches. He is also a wicket-keeper.

Samarawickrama topped Tier-A run charts with 1016 runs at 59.76 in the 2016-17 season.

On his debut for Sri Lanka A in February 2017, he cracked 185 runs off 223 balls against a strong England Lions attack.

Roshen Silva seems to be unfortunate yet again and could be missed out.

The 28-year-old, former Josephian is one of the most consistent domestic batsmen.

He was first called up to the Test squad in 2016 to play against Australia in a home series.
