Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep has been ruled out of the 5-match ODI series against Pakistan after hurting his hamstring.

The Sri Lanka – Pakistan 1st ODI will be played in Dubai today (13).

Pradeep complained about stiffness in his hamstring after the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai.

The Sri Lankans won by 68 runs to complete a 2-0 series win, which was Pakistan’s first Test series loss in their adopted home.

Pradeep featured in both Tests and sources say that towards the end of the first Test was having trouble with his hamstring.

However, he played the 2nd Test sharing the new ball with Suranga Lakmal.

He will undergo scans in Colombo to assess the seriousness of his injury.

Fast bowler Lahiru Gamage, who made his Test debut in Dubai, has been retained for the ODIs.
