Sri Lanka has been well-known natural talent in the cricketing arena since the inception of international exposure to the national cricketers.

Muttiah Muralitharan, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis and now Kevin Koththigoda.

Koththigoda is currently plying his trade for the Sri Lankan U-19 team in Malaysia where the Youth Asia Cup is being held.

Kevin Koththigoda is yet another Sri Lankan bowler who has one of the unique bowling actions you will ever see.

Somewhat similar to former South Africa chinaman Paul Addams.

The only difference between the two is that Adams was a left-arm bowler while Kevin is a right-arm leg-spinner.

He played in the match against Afghanistan and also took a wicket as Sri Lanka won by 61 runs.

"He has a very unusual action. It's like that of Paul Adams. The action wasn't coached or anything, it came naturally to him. Initially, he was struggling with the length as he couldn't see the pitch, but he has improved tremendously," former Sri Lanka 'A' opener Dhammika Sudarshana told the media speaking about Kevin.

The youngster is from Unawatuna, a few kilometers from the Galle International Stadium. He was playing for Richmond College.
