Sri Lanka Test skipper Dinesh Chandimal says he is determined to make a comeback to the ODI side as he likes the format very much.

Chandimal was dropped from Sri Lanka squad for the upcoming 3-match ODI series against India.

The 1st match will be played at Dharamsala on Sunday (10).

Chandimal said, "They say I have some areas to be rectified to get back to the ODI team. I always like the ODI format. So I will work hard in the future. It is a good challenge to return to the ODI team".

Dinesh Chandimal has so far played 134 ODIs and has scored 3288 runs with 4 centuries and 21 fifties.

His batting average is 31.92 and strike rate is 74.15%.

His low strike rate has been cited as one of the reasons for him to lose the ODI place.
