Last wicket pair in Rangana Herath and Akila Dananjaya frustrated the South Africans for 20 overs this morning and helped Sri Lanka reach 338 before being bowled out in their first innings of the second Test at the SSC.

The home team began the day on 277 for 9. Herath and Dananjaya added 74 runs for the last wicket.
 
Herath made 35 while his partner Dananjaya remained 43 not out.
 
In bowling, Keshav Maharaj bagged 9 for 129.
 
Maharaj is also the sixth bowler to take 9 wickets in an innings at an away venue.
 
It is also the second-best figures by a South African in Test cricket and the second best overall by a left-arm spinner.
