James Anderson has warned Sri Lanka that England's batsmen have "a point to prove" when the two-match Test series begins tomorrow in Galle.

The attack misfired during the 3- nil Test whitewash against Pakistan but Alastair Cook, Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott have hit tons in recent warm-up games.

Bowler Stuart Broad is fit to play after missing training on Saturday.

Thursday's four-wicket victory against the Sri Lankan Development eleven saw Matt Prior, Samit Patel, Ravi Bopara and Kevin Pietersen all score fifties as the tourists chased down a fourth-innings target of 359.

In the United Arab Emirates during the winter, Pakistan bowled Andrew Strauss's side out six times for less than 260.
