Two new Sri Lankan records have been clocked during the second day of the National Athletic League which is being held at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa sports complex today.
Lakrani Perera of the Sri Lankan Air Force managed to create a new record in the high jump category establishing a height of 3.25 metres. The earlier record stands at 3.2 metres.
Eranga Rasika Dulakshi taking part in the 3000 metre obstacle course race clocked a new record of 10 minutes and 29 seconds.
The former record for this event was 10 minutes and 31 seconds.
