There are 100 days left for the T20 World Cup which will commence on the 18th of September in Sri Lanka.
This will be the first time a T20 World Cup is being staged in an Asian nation.
A special media briefing in connection with the T20 World Cup was held in Pallekele yesterday.
The ICC and Sri Lanka Cricket marked the 100 Day Countdown by distributing cricketing equipment to 100 schools in the Kandy District.
Meanwhile, the ICC also announced that the second stage of ticket sales will begin on the 12th of June.
Matches are scheduled to be played in Colombo, Hambantota, Pallekele and Galle.
The tournament ambassador for the T20 World Cup is Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga.
Speaking at the media briefing held yesterday Lasith Malinga noted that he gives his 100% to every game played for Sri Lanka.
He also expressed these views about his role as the Ambassador for the T20 World Cup.
