Pakistan commenced proceedings on day 3 on 48 runs for the loss of 5 wickets with Younis Khan unbeaten on 15 runs and debutant Mohammad Ayub not out on 1 run.

However, Sri Lankan spinners Rangana Herath and Suraj Randiv picked up the remaining Pakistani 5 wickets for just 52 runs and were all out for 100 and failed avoid the follow on.

Randiv grabbed 4 wickets while and Rangana Herath picked up 3 wickets.

On the 2nd day of the 1st test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Galle, Sri Lanka reached a total of 472 all out with Kumar Sangakkara remaining unbeaten on 199.

Sri Lankan opted to bat again and scored 137 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and set a target of 510 runs to win.

In reply the Pakistani batsmen failed yet again on a turning pitch and ended the day on 36 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
