The Pakistan Cricket Board remains undecided whether to boycott the annual ICC Awards or to attend it, as PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf is hopeful for Saeed Ajmal’s inclusion in the awards list.

Talking to the media Zaka revealed that theyare in discussions with the ICC.

Ajmal took 72 Test wickets during the qualifying period from August 4th, 2011, to August 6th this year.

He was on the long list but failed to make the cut for the final 12, with four players selected in each of the three categories.

Zaka is ‘saddened’ by the omission of spinner Ajmal from the short list for the ICC’s World Player of the Year award and said that he hasn’t ruled out a boycott of the ceremony.
