Raj Kundra, a co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals, the team at the centre of a massive spot-fixing and gambling scandal, and husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetti, has admitted to betting in the IPL yesterday.

He has admitted to betting and has said that he placed bets on his own team through bookies. He also said that he lost huge amount of money in betting.  

Kundra has said that he placed bets on the IPL "for the last 2 to 3 years.  However, in an interview earlier this week, Shilpa had evaded questions around the controversy.

Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra are co-owners of the T20 cricket team, Rajasthan Royals.
