Video: Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan Test Match ends in draw.


The first test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi ended in a draw.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl and managed to bundle out the Sri Lankans for 204 runs.

Sri Lankan Skipper Angelo Mathews top scored for the Lions with 91 while Junaid Khan picked up 5 wickets for 58 runs for the Pakistanis.

In reply Pakistan amassed 383 runs in their first essay with skipper Misbah – ul – Haq and Younus Khan scoring 135 and 136 runs respectively while Shaminda Eranga and Rangana Herath picked up 3 wickets each for the Lankans.

Sri Lanka then piled on the runs and eventually declared their second inning at 480 for the loss of 5 wickets with Skipper Angelo Mathews starring with the bat again scoring a career best 157 not out.

Junaid Khan once again stood out for the Pakistanis picking up 3 wickets.

Set a target of 302 Pakistan was 158 for the loss of 2 wickets when the players shook hands to end to contest.

Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews bagged the man of the match award for his heroics with the bat in both innings.
