England Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad said maintaining a settled team was the reason for not selecting Ben Stokes for the opening T20 loss against Australia.

Stokes scored 120 in his second Ashes Test and was England's leading wicket-taker with 10 in the one-day series.

England won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2010 and, having failed to reach the semi-finals two years ago, will attempt to regain the title when the 2014 competition takes place in Bangladesh from 16th March-6 th April.

They averaged 200 in three completed home matches against New Zealand and Australia last summer, with 10 of the 11 players on duty in Wednesday's defeat in Hobart featuring in the latter two games.
