India began the Super 10 phase of the World Twenty20 with a commanding seven-wicket win over Pakistan in Mirpur.

Pakistan scored a modest 11 fours and two sixes in their 130-7, Umar Akmal top-scoring with 33 from 30 balls and Sohaib Maqsood adding 21 off 11.

India's openers hit six fours and two sixes, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma racing to 54 within eight overs.

Three quick wickets fell but Virat Kohli with 36 and Suresh Raina with 35 guided them home with nine balls remaining.
