Mahendra Singh Dhoni offers to quit as Chennai Super Kings captain: reports.
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reportedly offered to quit as skipper of the Chennai Super Kings in the wake of the Indian Premier League betting and match-fixing scandal.
According to media reports, the Indian captain is angry that his name has been linked with the scandal and reportedly spoke to N. Srinivasan, now suspended by the Supreme Court as the BCCI chief, and offered to step down as skipper.
Dhoni has been charged with conflict of interest in the past. The Indian skipper is employed by Indian Cements, the company which owns Chennai Super Kings.
